organ harvesting in China revealed. 90% of the film scenes are based off of true accounts. A narrative with a surprising end that inspires you to want to do something.
I cannot begin to describe how heart wrenching this film is. I was blind to the insanity of the goings on in China and now I am so broken hearted. Please watch this film and spread awareness about this atrocity. The story of a Chinese family torn apart because of their illegal belief and a wealthy technician from the west. This will take you in and inspire you to get on the internet and try to do something about spreading the awareness. As can be evidence by me. This is not something that people who have a stomach will like to see but they need to see it. We cannot keep burying our head in the sand. Its time to do something America.
More terrifying than a horror movie.
I had thought of seeing “Hotel Mumbai” but it was too close to the Christchurch mosque attacks for comfort. I wanted something a bit lighter, so I saw “The Bleeding Edge” instead. Bad move: this story is more terrifying than anything I’ve seen in years. The implications are so far-reaching.Despite the far-fetched and clumsy plot that doesn’t seem to be aware of how computer servers are accessed, an amazing recovery from being shot, an unlikely shaking off of well-equipped pursuers, etc, the characters are well-written and well-acted.
What is terrifying is not only the insidious power of the police state, but it can’t be seen forgetting the non-fictional context of the increasing soft power that China exerts whereby foreign governments have become reluctant to criticize China’s treatment of minorities and dissenters or its one-sided so-called free-trade deals.
The defects in plot don’t explain the lack of publicity this film has received. I follow movies fairly closely but hadn’t been aware of it. Movies don’t often take more than two years to come to my notice. Just as there is increasing reluctance on the part of world leaders to discuss Taiwan or Tibet it appears that cinemas are reluctant to screen a controversial movie.
