Predictable but tolerable
If you are a child of the 90s you’ll love the references. Rebel Wilson is charming and silly. The plot is totally unexceptional and predictable. There’s also plenty of political messaging that you’d expect from any movie these days.

Rebel Wilson goes Back to School
Senior Year is Netflix’s latest comedy that follows Rebel Wilson, a cheerleader who wakes up after a 20-year coma and is ready to live out her high school dream: becoming prom queen. Overall I would say this movie is nothing new as it borrows elements from other films like Billy Madison and Blast From the Past. However, it’s a pretty cute little film that made me laugh at times and, overall, had a good message about realizing what and who really matters in your life. If you like Rebel Wilson, you’ll like this movie. She is pretty much the same character in every movie. However, she isn’t as funny in this as she is in the Pitch Perfect movies. She does look a lot different now. Good for her for losing all that weight. The only problem with Senior year is that, at times, it tried too hard to be funny, and the ending felt a bit rushed. Also, there were too many characters, so they all come across as rather one-dimensional. But with that said, it was a feel-good comedy that you can watch if you need a laugh or just want to escape form reality for two hours.
