NXT TakeOver Phoenix: Solid but weak for Takeover
Due to my opinion of the current WWE product I don’t watch every ppv now, I have the habit of reading results/watching highlights however I always make time for the consistently good NXT Takeover events.

I’ve reviewed a fair few ppv’s but my issue is how can you possibly do so without giving away spoilers?

With the World, North American, Tag & Women’s championships on the line plus one grudge match the event was set to be another incredible show of professional wrestling and for the most part it delivered.

The results were logical, the in ring performances were expectedly great but there was little in the way of surprises. You would likely predict the event from start to finish here and be correct so Phoenix offers highly quality wrestling and high quality wrestling alone.

Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with that, I guess in the world of sports entertainment I find myself expecting such things as a given. Perhaps with the Royal Rumble looming they decided to save all the surprises for then, after all this is one of the few times the main WWE product can actually compete in quality with NXT Takeover.

Another solid outing regardless which I walked away happy with.

WE HAVE SEEN BETTER BUT THIS NXT TAKEOVER IN PHOENIX WAS LESS THAN EXCITING
I WANTED TO BE WRONG JUST BY LOOKING AT THE CARD FOR NXT TAKEOVER PHOENIX WITH THE UNDISPUTED ERA VS WAR RAIDERS, MATT RIDDLE VS KASSIUS OHNO, RICOCHET VS JOHNNY GARGANO, SHAYNA BASZLER VS BIANCA BELAIR AND TOMASSO CIAMPA VS ALEISTER BLACK THAT THE ACTION WAS GOING TO BE SPECTACULAR HOWEVER IT WAS NOT TO ME AT ALL. OTHER THAN THE WAR RAIDERS DEFEATING UNDISPUTED ERA AND JOHNNY GARGANO FINALLY WINNING A SINGLES TITLE IN A MATCH THAT WAS SLIGHTLY ABOVE AVERAGE BUT I FOUND IT TO BE NOTHING COMPARED TO THE MATCHES THESE TWO HAVE BEEN IN BEFOREHAND. EVEN WORST THE TOTALLY DISAPPOINTING MATCH SEEING BIANCA BELAIR LOSE IN SUCH A HORRID FASHION BY SHAYNA BASZLER WHOM REALLY OWNED BIANCA THE ENTIRE FIGHT- I JUST THOUGHT THE MATCH WAS ENTIRELY OFF AND HAS TO MANY BLUNDERS WITH BELAIR NOT BEING READY FOR IT. THE MAIN EVENT WAS NOT GREAT EITHER BUT BETTER THAN THE WOMEN’S CONTEST BECAUSE IT DID NOT WASTE TIME STALLING THE EVENT NOR HAVING THE OPPONENT GET OVER EMOTIONAL THOUGH ALEISTER BLACK WAS DOMINATED BY TOMASSO CIAMPA IN THE FIGHT AS WELL. WITHOUT GOING OVER ALL THE DETAILS OF THIS TAKEOVER PHOENIX IT WAS JUST LESS THAN FULLFILLING(JUST ANOTHER BLAND EVENT) I BELIEVE EACH TAKEOVER CONDUCTED IN 2018 FROM PHILADELPHIA TO WARGAMES ESPECIALLY WERE ZILLION YEARS BETTER SO YOU MIGHT WANT TO SAVE TIME WHEN CONSIDERING TO VIEW IT!
