Sadly, another weak adaptation.
If this movie was an original creation, i would understand why at moments it would look like one of those ‘youtube fan movies’.

But, the source material is right there, – is rich, is vast, is deep, it has heart – and to come up with another B movie, is really sad.

Take the anime tv show from the 80s, you don’t have to go to the manga, just the first episode has more soul than this. Take episodes 1-7 right until Phoenix steals the gold armor, and you have your first movie, with great stories, good character development with background depth, several heroes with rich, diverse origins, strong roots and clear purpose within the story.

It’s a shame to have good and talented actors like Sean Bean, Famke Janssen and Mark Dacascos, limited by a poorly adapted and a lazy executed project.

The title literally says “knights of the zodiac”
This movie is horrible!

The actors are not at fault, but the writers. They should have just stuck with the same story in the anime and manga. This new story they created makes no sense!!!

The ending was taken from the X-men from last stand.

-You take the Greek mythology out and replace it with cyborgs.

-Guurad is not a good villain and changes her mind through the movie.

-Cassius is a waste and randomly wants to kill seiya just because he doesn’t like him.

-Athena lacks personality, yet you make her the goddess of destruction. You don’t understand how reincarnation works.

-Athena is the goddess of wisdom and purity who “guides and defends humanity” -The gold saints were waste in the storyline. They wasted perfect opportunity with Aiolos and Kiddo. They couldve explained why Athena needed to be protected and why the golden cloth was placed with athena this draws you into the story. It makes the audience ask more questions?

-This story should’ve taken place in Greece then into the galaxian wars tournament and introduced the other knights which is in the title!!!

The battles and cgi are terrible which is based on money I understand but this movie has no chance going again John wick, guardians of the galaxy, and Mario …. If I wasn’t a fan of this anime I still would of expected mythology and mysticism for beginner, but since I am a fan this movie is an insult.
