Watch: ママ、ごはんまだ？ 2016 123movies, Full Movie Online – Sisters Tae and Yo Hitoto return to the old family house, which is slated for demolition. Tae comes across a container containing recipes and letters compiled by their mother who died some twenty years ago. Their mother had moved to Taiwan in order to marry a local man. The husband died and she herself went through cancer before also dying. Tae travels to Taiwan to retrace her mother’s steps and learns much about the different stages of life..
Plot: Two sisters Tae and Yo come back to their old house which is soon to be torn down. Clearing up the family mementos, Tae finds a red box full of recipes and letters written by their mother who died 20 years ago. In these recipes and letters, she finds out how her mother had struggled in her life due to relocation from Japan to Taiwan, the death of her Taiwanese husband, and a battle with cancer. Tae travels to Taiwan to trace her mother’s past, reminiscing about the dishes she made for the family.

Daughters fondly remembers mother’s cooking
Saw this movie when I visited my parents in Taiwan. It’s a wonderful story about a daughter’s discovery of her Japanese mother’s cooking notebook which led to understanding her mother’s determination to adapt thru various challenges in her life as she raised her daughters. The movie is slow but it has some great lessons. I would definitely recommend it.
