Plot: To the Rider his moped is everything. As a pizza delivery driver it is his livelihood. As a breadline straddling, immigrant father it is his family’s anchor. It takes his wife to work. It gets his daughter to school. So when one night the moped is stolen, his world collapses. He has to get back his bike – or replace it – in whatever way possible, before his next shifts starts. If he fails, he won’t just lose his job, he will lose it all. He tries to ask the few familiar faces for help in this unfamiliar, disorienting city. However, as he runs out of time and his options are wearing thin, his moral compass begins to crack and he grows more and more willing to forgo his conscience in order to save himself and his family.

Way to slow
I wanted to like it but didn’t get passed 50min…. Too bored.. Call me a philistine but at least I got to 50min ????. Characters lacked any depth or reason to keep watching. Did any of it matter?

Bored me to tears…literally
What more is there to say that the other reviewer has not, it is long and hardly any actual acting or speaking and most of that is in Romanian with subtitles and just a guy wandering around the hell on earth that is London; truly a depressing place to film anything and the ending was anything but uplifting – I mean how is he going to explain to the scumbag boss that the bike is different??? Not much of a moralistic tale, just nick someone else’s bike if yours gets nicked and who thought that would be a good ending Is beyond me???

I have not seen the De Sica original but it has to be better than this dreadful effort.
