Synopsis

Watch: Star Trek: Nemesis 2002 123movies, Full Movie Online – After a joyous wedding between William Riker and Deanna Troi, Captain Picard and the Enterprise crew stumble upon a positronic signature which results in a prototype version of the android Data. Then the Enterprise is invited to Romulus to negotiate a peace treaty with the Romulans by their new leader, Praetor Shinzon. However, Shinzon is revealed to be a clone of Picard who was raised on Remus, a slave planet to the Romulans. Later on, Picard discovers that this peace treaty was nothing more than a set-up on account of the fact that Shinzon needs Picard in order to survive. But little do the Enterprise crew know that Shinzon also plans to do away with the Federation by unleashing a weapon that could destroy a whole planet..
Plot: En route to the honeymoon of William Riker to Deanna Troi on her home planet of Betazed, Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise receives word from Starfleet that a coup has resulted in the installation of a new Romulan political leader, Shinzon, who claims to seek peace with the human-backed United Federation of Planets. Once in enemy territory, the captain and his crew make a startling discovery: Shinzon is human, a slave from the Romulan sister planet of Remus, and has a secret, shocking relationship to Picard himself.

This time it’s the “Next Generation” who take to the silver screen in what I found to be a passable adventure film. Even for a “Star Trek” film, it starts of implausibly though with “Riker” and “Troi” getting married and having their first dance – but there was no “Lady in Red” or “I Will Always Love You”… we didn’t even get Tammy Wynette singing “DIVORCE”… Cleary this film was going to be lacking in realism then… Anyway, shortly afterwards “Capt. Picard” (Patrick Stewart) and the crew head to “Romulus” for a summit only to find that Alan Dale and the entire senate have been assassinated and that Praetor “Shinzon” (Tom Hardy) is in charge of a very heavily armed warship. The two men meet and it is quite clear that the former has megalomaniacal tendencies that involve a personal relationship with our brave Captain. The story is not so hot, the plot – as ever with this strand of ST couldn’t just have a straightforward action theme – phasers and photon torpedos at the ready. No, we had to have some dull familial sub-plots and the always annoying “Data” (Brent Spiner) finds himself a brother (think “C3PO” on the Cloud City above “Bespin”). Anyway, trust wains, tempers flare and the last twenty minutes are genuinely at the better end of ST moviedom – loads of pyrotechnics and hammy acting. Hardy does fine as the baddie (he was only 25) and the rest of the established cast turn up and go through the motions as usual. It benefits from less moralising and more action, and is perfectly watchable – if entirely forgettable afterwards.

Good watch, could watch again and can recommend (at least for dedicated “Star Trek” fans).

I feel like I just enjoy “Star Trek” TNG just enough that I just like that we have movies. I thought this was good, but I completely understand if other people didn’t appreciate it.

While the core of the concept is a little wonky, the look into the Romulan Empire and it’s caste system is somewhat interesting on its own. It does create a lot of questions though, such as why the “untouchable” caste would be given enough resources to create such an impressive warship.

We get another look into the significance of Data’s character, particularly that he isn’t an easy creation and cannot be copied simply.

It’s not the best movie, but it is fun to see some more of “Star Trek” TNG.

More Fun and Exciting Than It’s Predecssor,
Star Trek: Nemesis is a good movie with a pretty decent storyline that kind of gets to the point too quickly but is fun and action packed, unlike Insurrection, that is very slow paced, and I thought Nemesis was much better. The cast are still as strong as ever, just like every other Star Trek, but I found it disappointing for the fact that it was the Next Generation crew’s final adventure,it didn’t really go out with a pleasing ending like the Undiscovered Country did with the original crew, and it sort of ended like there was going to be more, but there never will be.A lot of be wouldn’t agree with me when I call it enjoyable,a lot of fans really hated this,I didn’t really see why,I thought the set up and especially the villain was very good,it isn’t the best Star Trek, but it’s certainly not the worst.Fans will definitely be disappointed by Nemesis and will feel like you didn’t get to properly say goodbye to the crew, but its still a fun and action packed Star Trek adventure.

The crew is sent to the planet of the Romulus as they want to declare peace, little does the crew know it is a trick to take over the planet Earth.

Better than some, but poor for a Finale
This apparently final flick of the TNG crew went unnoticed in the theaters, and I don’t think Paramount invested heavily in either the movie itself or its promotion. Despite the many scathing reviews I found some quality in the movie. Many of what have been interpreted as ripoffs of previous scripts were deliberate nods to the series’ high points, and if it wasn’t clear enough the many cameo appearances should have given the hypercritical some pause. Many of the sets and scenes were well done, and Tom Hardy and bad guys did good. The weakest part of the movie is that there should have been more sense of the crews’ closeness, principally through better dialog. Even Data doesn’t have many good lines. It just doesn’t have much of an edge to it. Even if they didn’t get a huge budget for it better character interaction could have made this a much more memorable movie. Certainly not the worst Star Trek, its too bad that it couldn’t have been a better movie to end the series.
