He’s no Mutt!
Christmas Town (2019)-

I fell in love with Tim Rozon when I first saw him as Mutt in ‘Schitt’s Creek’ and he is even cuter in this. I’d have grabbed him and not let him go from the first moment I saw him, but that’s just me I suppose.

Candace gives her usual well rounded performance too and overall the cast do a good job.

It’s the typical story, that is actually far too convenient in a lot of ways and the town is far too friendly and kind to be real, but wouldn’t it be nice if there really were places like that? I think my teeth would fall out from the sweetness, but I think I’d enjoy it for at least a year or so.

The disagreement that they have is daft and I think that the writers need to work on this as it seems to be happening a lot lately. Give them something to properly get upset about and see how true their love really is.

This is one of the films of this type that has obviously had a bit more thought and maybe money put in to it, so even though it is too good to be true and a formulaic romance, it isn’t offensive and has a cheer and jolly nature that’s pleasant to watch.

This is a very special Christmas film and a beautiful celebration of the true meaning of the holiday made even more meaningful by a superb performance of Ms. Candace Cameron Bure. The script is a bit formulaic and predictable but the heart of this movie is an actress who gives all she is, all her spirit to a performance that is simply unforgettable. Just when you believe she has achieved her finest work, she pulls off a beautiful surprise and outdoes whatever she has done before. No one who watches this soon to be Christmas classic will be untouched by its message and no viewer will forget the magic that Candace Cameron Bure works in one of her most memorable pieces of work.
