Synopsis

Watch: Airborne 2011 123movies, Full Movie Online – This film is about a group of people on an International flight which leaves from England during an oncoming storm. It’s the last flight allowed to leave the airport. On that flight is an ancient vase from China, but is it cursed? As the flight gets further away from where it departed from it soon becomes apparent that something is not right on board. Strange things start to happen and people start going missing, but how can that be when it’s only a 747? Where are they? And what’s behind it all? Someone knows more than they’re letting on to..
Plot: As a snow storm closes in, one final plane takes off. The plane reports to the ground that both pilots are dead, while the slowly dwindling number of passengers on the plane wish that they’d never left the ground.

Over the decades, British Cinema has created some of the greatest, scariest and most iconic horror films of all time. From the beast that is Hammer Horror to films such as THE DESCENT, 28 DAYS LATER and SHAUN OF THE DEAD. Well, now here comes another instant classic that horror hounds are going to eat up!

Made of an all star cast – most notably Mark ‘Luke Skywalker’ Hamill – this film blends comedy and horror superbly. Set on board a passenger airplane, things begin to turn freaky when we discover a mysterious cargo crate with the power to re-animate the dead. This film has everything and more! From zombies to foul-mouthed gangsters, a sinister criminal and a psychopathic killer on the loose…all whilst trying to fly an airplane 30,000 feet in the air! It’s crazy from start to finish and has everything including the kitchen sink thrown in for good measure.

This is one heck of a fun ride that’s impressively cast and directed. With a unique story which constantly keeps you guessing and subverting any predicted path you may have in mind, this is British horror at it’s best. I’m sure the team behind this film will become quite a big deal in the very near future.

A must have film!

I’ll watch anything that provides me with a little Craig Conway, but _Airborne_ never elevates itself above the micro-budget Brit horror movie that it is. The acting is certainly not quite so bad as might expect, but the film overall is still not something worthwhile by-and-large.

_Final rating:★★ – Had some things that appeal to me, but a poor finished product._

Reborn
Pretty sure they won’t play this movie in an airplane. But that might be everything this has in common with a series like “Lost” or other movies (Quarantine 2 would be another example of movies not really meant to be played on board of an airplane). But to compare this with those really good movies/series would be unfair. Unfortunately though, one of the biggest assets this movie could have, is not really in the front seat (literally).

I’m talking about Mark Hamill of course. The movie is also pretty decent in the beginning (having some other heavies in it, like Alan Ford), but does lack a stability to it. Characters seem exchangeable and you don’t really care for most of them. The revelation isn’t done properly, the effects seem decent (though there is nothing big on display here). Logic is thrown out of the window (no pun intended) and other things will annoy you too. Not completely bad, but descending pretty quickly (whatever you might think of the predictable ending).

Airborne
It was obvious that when I saw the DVD of this British made scary movie, that despite the good cast of actors, it was an independent and straight to DVD release, and it was admittedly just because of the stars that I was drawn to trying it. Basically it follows the tradition of things like The Twilight Zone, it sees a winter storm approaching, but an airliner takes off despite this, and soon after take-off the passengers realise the plane has hijackers on board who have killed the pilots. The innocents try to go against the terrorists who want to use the plane as a plane, but they are not able to overpower them because of fear, unforeseen incidents happening and violence increasing between them. The airport controllers and staff find out about the problems the plane is experiencing both in the bad weather and inside, so fighter planes take off to follow the aircraft, and they prepare for the consequences of the plane going down if the snow storm worsens or the hijackers was fly it downwards. The passengers argue amongst themselves but try whatever they can to get control of the plane back or escape potential disaster, while the military and airport people on the ground argue about the situation trying to be avoided. Starring Mark Hamill as Malcolm, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ Alan Ford as Max, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’s Julian Glover as George, EastEnders’ Billy Murray as Cutter, I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!’s Gemma Atkinson as Harriett, This Is England’s Andrew Shim as Sam, EastEnders’ Raji James as Kailash, Coronation Street’s Chris Brazier as Chris and Craig Conway as Luke. Not even a good cast of recognisable faces could rescue this film from being dull and boring, the stuff on the plane was not shocking, scary or gripping, and the action on the ground was just as uninteresting, I just felt like it wasn’t trying to engage and any stupid ideas were thrown in, a rubbish horror thriller. Pretty poor!
